Investigations by major tech outlets Wired and Gizmodo may have potentially identified bitcoin’s creator.

Satoshi Nakamoto, they say, is 44-year-old Australian entrepreneur Craig Wright, who is thought to have created the bitcoin protocol alongside US forensic researcher David Kleiman, now deceased.

This, however, is not the first time that major news outlets embark on a quest to decipher the identity of bitcoin’s mysterious creator.
